In November 2022, new applications for the subclass 191 skilled regional visa will be accepted. You must have the following qualifications to apply:

  • Been in possession of a 491 or 494 visa for at least three years
  • Met the requirements for regional provisional visas.
  • You must be a resident of Australia to apply.
  • Applicants must have taxable income equal to or greater than the minimum amount specified in the legislative instrument (currently $53,900).

Important: Applicants earning $53,900 and who claim tax deductions will no longer be eligible to apply because their taxable income will fall below the threshold

The application fees will be announced closer to the start by the department.

Fees for visa application will be around:

  • $385 for the main applicant
  • $195 for the additional applicant over the age of 18
  • $100 for the Additional Applicant Under the Age of 18

Applicants will also have the option to pay an additional fee if they are 18 or older and have less than functional English.

In November 2022, applications for the Subclass 191 Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) Visa will be accepted.
